His most famous works in the field of furniture design, were the chair shall Basculant LC1, the LC2 armchair, the Sofa LC3, the LC4 chaise longue, the sofa LC5, the LC6 dining table and the chair LC7.
He is considered one of the most important architects and designers of the 20th century. The pseudonym Le Corbusier was inspired by his great-grandfather and his mentor Charles l'Eplattenier.
