A design classic made in 1956 by Eero Saarinen.


Material / Features: 

  • Seat covered with Soft Leather, Pony, Linen mixed (63% Cotton + 37% Linen) or NICOTREND Wool (80% Nature Wool + 20% Polyamide-Nylon). 
The 3 photos of the seat cushions, seen from below, with the seat cushions in the leather version, have built-in ventilation.
One part of the Velcro tape is sewn to the cushion and the other part is glued to the seat.

We do not guarantee the accuracy of fit for spare parts if the furniture has not been purchased from us. Spare parts cannot be exchanged/returned.

Saarinen, Eero

Eero Saarinen (1910 -1961) was a Finnish-American architect and industrial designer of the 20th Century.

Eliel Saarinen's father Gottlieb Saarinen was a famous architect in Finland. In 1923 the family emigrated to the United States.

From 1929 to 1930 Saarinen studied sculpture in Paris before majoring in architecture at Yale University. He then worked in the architectural office of his father and was made partner in 1941. Together with Charles Eames, he took part in a competition at the Museum of Modern Art, New York, where several of his designs, including the Organic Char won.
